| Conca deì Marini is not only famous for it characteristic scenery, but also for the many architectural gems that adorn it. The Chiesa di S. Antonio di Padova, with its stunning majolica bell tower, was restored in 1909. Inside you can admire a marble, holy-water font and the majolica pavements.
The "Chiesa di S. Pancrazio" consists of one nave and two aisles, and just as many apses and entrances. The two side aisles have a cross vault and three chapels. Finally, in Capo di Conca, a small peninsula of the coast, one can admire the "Torre Costiera" (Coastal Tower), also known as "Torre Bianca" (White Tower), that will be home to the Museum of Sea and Maritime Art, currently being constructed. In ancient times, however, the tower was a cemetery retaining the corpses of the citizens of Conca. |
